I came to this conclusion tonight.

Why would Red John spare the life of the blind woman??

It is because she would see that he is a woman.

3. Red John is a cult.

It is not one person. Think about it. The guy that self immolated. The guy that Jane shot. The lady that got poisoned just as she was talking about Red John. Grace's fiance. It's a conglomeration of people, and the director or the boss or whoever he is happens to be one of them.

Regardless of if it is a cult or not, Red John is more than one person. I believe that Jane killed the guy who killed his family. While it may not be the guy who is manipulating people, he got his revenge.
