Missing Bill Haywood

It has been a sad morning. Bill Haywood and his wife committed suicide Wednesday evening according to news reports. I grew up listening to him when he was at KOY. Yes, he did conservative talk in his later years but he seemed like the type of person one could like despite his political views. I once had a chance to meet him when we were both in a local parade.

RIP Susan and Bill.

He was considered to be a really nice guy by his colleagues in the radio business. He will be missed.

that made the valley a great place to live. He contributed in many ways. You're right - from all accounts he was as nice in every day life as he was on air.
