Jan Brewer slammed for defending Donald Trump on CNN
Former Gov. Jan Brewer has become a regular on the national news shows as she stumps for Donald Trump, but she didn't get rave reviews for her appearance Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."
Host Jake Tapper appeared frustrated with the Trump campaign's claim that the media were to blame for controversy surrounding Trump's remarks about Hillary Clinton and the Second Amendment. He directed his ire to Brewer, who was on a panel of pundits.
"As a Trump supporter, doesn't this bother you when he goes out there and makes ... remarks about the Second Amendment, which definitely got him off message for a day or two, and then he starts talking about Obama is the founder of ISIS. Doesn't that bother you? You want him to win," Tapper asked Brewer.
Brewer responded: "Absolutely, I want him to win, and I believe the American public wants him to win."
