Ducey's budget proposes 2% raise for teachers, phased in over 5 years.

That works out to less than $10 a pay period. It's a 0.4% raise/year for teachers who are already grossly undercompensated compared to those with similar education and training.

But of course, the corporate tax cuts remain.

To offset that 0.40% salary increase for teachers per year. GOP math is to cut taxes on rich, less revenue coming in and then blame that yearly 0.40% teacher increase pay on the blown up deficit.

Wait and see.
