[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Assembly Bill 305 asks for Governor Brown's support for this bill to eliminate gender bias in the California Workers' Comp system:

[font color="black" face="Arial"]"Being a woman shouldn't be a pre-existing condition. Not for your health insurance, and not when you're at risk on the job. But in California, if you get sick or injured at work, being a woman could reduce the workers' compensation you're entitled to under the law.

"It's a system that treats prostate cancer differently than breast cancer, minimizes the impact of sexual harassment, and largely ignores the toll of aging on women, putting women directly at physical and financial risk. It's not right, and it's time to fix the broken system."
