They are reach so many people who are surrounded by right wing neocon propaganda. I can honestly tell you, Mike Rhodes, the editor and others have given so much to keep this paper alive. If you can donate or advertise they can really use your help.
The paper is often the only voice for the homeless, the persecuted peace and social justice groups, women, GLBT, prisoners. etc.
not people who make a lot of money.
The Community Alliance is an independent voice for workers and progressive groups in the Central San Joaquin Valley. The goal of this monthly newspaper is to build a powerful progressive movement that will support social, environmental and economic justice; immigrant rights; and a living wage for all working people. We seek to expose social and political injustices and to link the diverse network of activists working in our community.
The Community Alliance newspaper is in financial trouble and we need to know if we can count on you to help save us. The bottom line is that without your support we are looking at some pretty difficult choices – do we reduce the number of copies we print each month, print fewer pages, print every two months, or something else? We have already eliminated paying the project coordinator (the editor) and cut back on every possible expense. The next round of cutbacks will reduce the quality and value of the newspaper and could result in a death spiral.
