Could the west coast form a tri state public health care insurance system that covered everyone? A single payer choice?
Use revenues from cannabis if need be.

1. I hope Gov Brown is cooking up a plan

otherwise I'm cooked! We had a huuge increase this year I can only imagine what it will be in another year or two

2. I don't see why not, though the insurance companies will fight like hell against it.

And you have to face this fact: they contribute A LOT of $ to politicians at the state level. Anybody voting for single payer would face the full wrath of corporate insurance in their next election.

That said, is there a way the public can place a single payer proposition on the ballot?

3. Seems like a few years ago we had a single payer move through

congress to be vetoed by arnie. Now that we have a super majority, it would be better to put it through the state house.
