Politician Claims Site In His Name Hijacked To Advertise Porn

COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) – A federal lawsuit by an Orange County politician alleges that a website in his name was “hijacked” and repurposed to advertise pornography.

The suit filed last week by Costa Mesa City Councilman Allan Mansoor claims an unknown party took control of a site bearing his name after the domain registration expired in 2015.

The Los Angeles Times
reports Sunday that the repurposed website featured explicit appraisals of porn sites, complete with links to explicit material. The newspaper says the site was taken down Friday. It’s unclear who took over the domain.

The suit, which was first reported by the OC Weekly newspaper, says whoever hijacked the site caused Mansoor to suffer embarrassment and emotional distress.

I once had someone highjack my apartment after my lease ended and I moved out.

And he doesn't seem a likable fellow, a Trump deplorable through and through.

He was named an honorary "Minuteman" by members of the Minuteman Project, a group that opposes illegal immigration.

Now, in a year when Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has turned his proposal to build a wall at the U.S. border with Mexico into a rallying cry, the issue of immigration has again taken a prominent, and controversial, place in politics.

If you are politician it's best not to let your domains expire. These days it's dirt cheap to renew them. If you don't like updating them, forward them to your Party Website or something.

Perhaps some Russians are yanking his chain and he paid them off. one way or another.

Or maybe he really was seeking a new career as a pornography reviewer and got caught out. You never know with these guys.
