Is anyone here familiar with the Long Beach airport?

I'm taking a cruise out of San Pedro (Long Beach) in December. I can fly into LAX or Long Beach. I definitely prefer Long Beach, but I'd need to arrange a taxi from the airport to the ship and then back. Is it easy to get a cab in Long Beach?

It was a few years ago. I rented a car there, but you should have no problem. I remember seeing lots of taxi's.

Plenty of cabs hanging around the LB airport. You may be better off with über for the return trip.

It's around 15 miles from the LB airport to San Pedro.

Of course Uber and Lyft are always an option there too.

I LOVE Long Beach Airport. Besides its cool art deco main building, it is small and easy to get in and out. Unfortunately, it does not have a lot of flight options, but that is a function of it being small--can't have one without the other. If you find yourself lucky enough to be able to fly out of Long Beach, do it!

Southwest has good flights and super cheap from Oakland. The other option is LAX, and I hate that place. Odd the cruise company doesn't do transfers from Long Beach.
