Once upon a time, I was told, in the 70s, most Orange County elected officials

were Democrats. But then it became a solid Republican. And the ATM of every national R candidate.

I think that the first cracks happened in 1992 when a couple of famous R voted for Clinton.

I once heard the story from one of the, a woman developer who was invited to the "100 event." I think that it was a donation of $100K - in those days this was a large sum.

And Barbour, a Southern gentleman who was the head of the RNC came to her and asked: and who are you with, little lady? And she coldly replied: I am with the 100.

Congratulations! California. You did it again! Showing the rest of us the way.

And I know it is hard to celebrate with the disasters of the fire, but you will rebuild. You will.

The backlash has resulted in repubs becoming more and more irrelevant.
