I try to keep at least 1/2 tank of gas in the car -- or at least enough to get me home.

We have several days drinking water supply on hand.

I know where the gas main is and how to turn it off.

Try to keep a lot of ice in the freezer at all times.

Earthquake kit? Yep -- batteries, flashlights, solar phone charger, radio, manual can opener, work gloves, contractor trash bags, even a portable outdoor stove (which I have never used). I go through the kit about once a year to keep it fresh and updated.
