Three days, 7.68" of rain (2013 TOTAL: 6.74")

South Central Napa County. North Napa County received as much as 10" in parts.

Flowers in the yard are going nuts -- it's as if someone threw a "grow" switch. Big help for Napa Valley's grape vines too. Spring rain gets bud break and shoot growth off to a good start.

Drop in the bucket, I know. But it sure felt nice.

however. So the snow pack is as bad as it was. The rain was great, but that was pretty warm. I had to deal with a bunch a flooding issues at my house.

hope it wasn't too extensive or damaging.

It would be wonderful to receive rainfall in amounts that wouldn't cause flooding, erosion or slides, yet build the ideal Sierra snow pack.

I'm going to walk down to the creek this afternoon to see how it's running. Had become a trickle recently.

In the East Bay we had only a couple of inches but yeah, everyone's happy to have some precipation again! Here's hoping that February and March are soggy months.

Let's hope more is in the forecast and that the %$#@ high-pressure system has gone away-- for awhile, at least!!
