I cringe at the thought of the shit (literally) being washed down the storm drains/gutters into the ocean.
Folks, stay out of the ocean for a least 3 days after a hard rain like this, as tempting as those tasty waves look.
Go skiing instead. Hopefully the local resorts will be cold enough for the snow to stick.
We REALLY need this rain.
