Where can I/we find good guidance on Judicial offices to help us vote yes or no on each judge?
edited: votersedge.org will show you your ballot choices and has information on the qualifications of candidates.
ivp.nawj.org A project of The National Association of Women Judges also looks helpful.

(53,339 posts)You can google the Democratic Party Committee for your county to find their endorsements, including the downballot contests.

(247 posts)I'm in San Luis Obispo County. I want to vote for progressive judges. Not for teabaggers.
The San Luis Obispo County Democratic Party website has no judicial recommendations. http://www.slocodems.org/
Nor did I find judicial recommendations on the California (state) Democrat's website.
I found a Judge Voter Guide (no link here because I do not trust the website) that in part says:
It is the voters of California and the legislatures that are supposed to make laws. Not judges. In fact, these judges ignore the law in favor of their own liberal, left-wing, anti-family agendas.
Legislating from the bench, these judges destroy or weaken constitutional protection, votes by the people, family values, marriage, religious liberty and economic freedom.
Judicial activists have:
Overturned voter-passed initiatives and laws passed by the state legislature, simply because they personally have a different belief system. They twist the law to rationalize their decisions.
Imposed their own moral codes, political beliefs and secular values in an effort to reshape our society and promote social engineering.
However I need a better guide to help me vote yes for progressive judges and no for conservative/teabaggy judges.

(247 posts)There are 14 judicial offices on my San Luis Obispo County ballot. Three for the CA Supreme Court. Eleven for the CA Court of Appeal. I want to make wise informed choices and need information on each one to know whether to vote yes or no.
