Colorado hospitals moving from level 1 - jumping to level 3
Hospitals can now transfer patients anywhere in the state.

@COHospitalAssn
announced something unprecedented.
It's moving from LEVEL 1 straight to LEVEL 3 (highest level) in its transfer plan.
Basically, hospitals can now transfer patients anywhere in the state.

Now, in a practical sense, they're NOT going to be transferring the very sick.
But they could transfer less sick patients from Denver or Fort Collins to, lets say, Grand Junction or Fort Morgan.
If a hospital has a bed, no matter where, a patient can be transferred there
...
Yes... this is a burden... (for families in particular)
But it shows how challenging this situation is.
Hospitals might have rooms, but they don't have staff in many instances
And now they can transfer patients statewide if need be
