3. VOTE!

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th, 2012, and polls will be
open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Find your polling place: http://www.dir.ct.gov/sots/LookUp.aspx
Vote by Mail

Connecticut has absentee voting for certain groups of people including those who
cannot make it to the polls on Election Day for one of the following reasons: active
service in the Armed Forces, absence from the town during all of the hours of voting,
illness, religious beliefs, duties as an election official at a polling place, or physical
disability. To have a ballot mailed to you, you must apply in writing to your local
registrar or town clerk, starting 31 days before Election Day. A presidential ballot must
be mailed or otherwise returned by the voter so that the town clerk receives it no later
than the close of the polls on Election Day.
For the latest information on where, when and how to vote absentee, contact your
local board of elections.
