Fuck Fuck Fuck - Now my state senator is a Repug.

Republican Paul Formica has defeated Democrat Betsy Ritter for the 20th District state Senate seat.

Formica outpolled Ritter in every town in the district, with New London’s numbers still outstanding, for an unofficial lead of 15,023-10,241. Formica won in his hometown of East Lyme and Ritter’s hometown of Waterford.

If Formica wins it would be the first time in a quarter century the 20th District will be represented by a Republican.

The last time a Republican represented the district was 1990 when the late Lawrence J. Bettencourt was elected. He served a single two-year term before being replaced by Democrat Melodie Peters, who held the job until Democrat Andrea Stillman succeeded her a decade ago.

And Ritter's seat also became Republican.

I was gerrymandered into a repug assembly area, so I know how you feel.

And the jerk stood in my boss' office, and told me, to my face, that "Yes, Wisconsin will ask for and use that 'expand Medicaid' money. He lied right to my face!!

I live in a very blue town. One of the few true working class towns. I have a democratic Town government, and HAD, 100% democratic state representation at all levels. And 100% national representation, though that at least will hold.

I can take. I'm thinking that I'm hearing that Wanker will be still our governor. I guess it's time to retire.

Where is your polling place? I vote at Juliet P. Long school. When I went yesterday morning both Mike France and Cathy Osten were there greeting people. I said good luck to her as I left. I just nodded at him.

However, I saw hundreds of Formica signs all around East Lyme and only a handful for Ritter, so I'm not surprised he won. On the plus side, East Lyme and Waterford both went for Malloy over Foley. so, a lot of split tickets. Formica ran unopposed by Democrats for first selectman in East Lyme last year...
