Great political corruption expose in the Orlando Sentinel.

It's a paid subscription only article, but here's the highlights.

With reference to Steven Precourt being elected to the Orlando Expressway Authority here are some of the highlights from hte article written by Scott Maxwell:

"The hiring was shady from the get-go."

"Precourt was unqualified for the job."

His position on the legislature is about to come to an end due to term limits, so he's looking for his next gig.

"He also has potential conflicts of interest: financial ties to a company that does business with the authority."

"Even more shady, the only reason Precourt could apply was that board members had ousted the current director — a widely respected fellow they had given a stellar job review just a few weeks earlier."

"Just eight seconds — yes, I counted — after the board voted to hire Precourt, one of its members made another motion: one to make sure Precourt be paid "a minimum of $200,000.""

I hope they ride Precourt, because this is a good ole boy accident waiting to happen,.

Our fate was sealed when political attorneys felt they could reach across the aisle to cement business relationships, their professional ethics be damned. This is how the entire process gets compromised.

We don't need CC's form of corruption to poison our waters. We have our own home grown problems right here.
