When I worked for Union Pacific, the company certainly had it's share of deahts and injuries. As I recollect, as a percentage, over 95% were non-employees trespassing or ignoring signals.

RR towns and been friends with several workers and engineers, one of which was qualified to operate steam engines. He had a couple nightmares about accidents in his career, those things stay with you.
