How is Democratic Party's Chances in Florida ?

Florida went Blue in both 2008 and 2012 presidential election albeit with razor thin margin. Unfortunately it was Red in 2010 state elections.

Now that judge has said that gerrymandering districts are unconstitutional (hoping that they will rectify it soon)...what the chances of flordia turning blue in 2014 ?

The thing is that florida will be uber-important after 10 years in presidential elections.

Florida has got the highest number of electoral vote (31) out of all swing states and it will increase in future as florida population is increasing very fast.

I think florida will be the 1st state to turn completely blue in the deep south republican hold.

... that wont be changed. And the FDP remains dysfunctional and inept. So Florida will remain purple (at best) despite Dems outnumbering Reps by a significant margin.

2. The 2014 elections are already underway. The filing period is over, and overseas absentee ballots have already been sent out. It is unlikely that the districts will be redrawn until the next election cycle.

It not much, but it is 2 votes.

I doubt I'll be very active this cycle, I just won't have any time, but I'll do what I can. If some GOTV stands can use a body in the Sarasota area I'll do my best.
