The Atlanta March For Our Lives was spectacular...

the city was much better prepared for this march than those in the past. Water/bathrooms/police and press were there. Speakers at the Civil Rights Museum allowed you to hear the speakers and they had screens at the Capitol where the march ended. Several sections of the road had parking stops for some reason and some streets were dangerous from where work is being done but that IS Atlanta!

I saw specific groups with signs including teachers, students, moms, grandparents, nurses, and colleges and then everything else: babies, elementary kids, tweens, teens, moms, dads, clergy, friends - YOU NAME IT.

There was one religious heckler (pretty much always downtown) but he got drowned out by protesters as long as I was within hearing.

And there were VOTER REGISTRATION people everywhere! When we'd see someone signing up, we would cheer like crazy. That was fun.

I was truly inspired by what I saw. I think this is just the beginning. I feel so encouraged by today's young people and by all of the people who want to get behind this movement. Way to go Atlanta!

I hadn't heard much. Saw the pictures in the AJC, but not much else. Had a conflict myself but I was there in spirit.
