We’ve heard from Hank Johnson, Congresswoman Lucy McBath, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, and Congresswoman Nikemah Williams so far. Congresswoman Carolyn Bordeaux is speaking now at 4:41.

It’s 4:44 now and it’s a beautiful day here in Duluth, GA! Slightly overcast and breezy is the best weather for spending all day in or directly next to your car! Thank goodness it’s only 82 F, which is just warm for Georgia. I came prepared with lots of water and snacks plus a bag lunch.

I got here about 10:45 this morning.

After going through two initial checkpoints, my car was thoroughly searched by secret service agents and sniffed by their K9 dogs. I was also screened and my bags searched by the agents.

The crowd is excited and looking forward to hearing from ATL Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Leader Stacey Abrams, and our Senators before the POTUS & FLOTUS take the stage!

2. I'm having a blast! Are any other DUers here?

I’ve only spoken with my car parking lot neighbors and folks in the So Icey Philly Water Ice concession line! You can only leave your car to go to the restroom or pick up food and drinks.

Leader Stacey Abrams just spoke. She is AWESOME! I love her so much!

Senator Reverend Warnock and Senator Ossoff are up next!

Mayor Bottoms is also scheduled to speak. I believe she’s also a national DNC member.

4. The DNC organizers get an A+ for this event! It's been on-time, safe, & fun!

I scored a great spot. I can mostly see the stage which is a ways off. I can see the lecturn at about 12:00 from my car drivers seat. Fortunately, there’s a big video screen and speakers at 11:00 about 60’ from my car!

The Secret Service has us locked down and locked in. No one was able to come in or leave after 2pm. The adjacent Sugarloaf Parkway, a probably other roads, will be closed from 5-7 pm. The Gwinnett County airport is close by and AF1 will land there. There is a continuous line of transit buses and large dump trucks parked bumper to bumper on the perimeter roads around the site.

Secret Service and other security are everywhere. The Secret Service and police K9 dogs are patrolling the entire site. They recently went past my car. I’ll never be safer!

6. OK y'all! It was fantastic! President Biden is wonderful!

Stacey Abrams and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms spoke. They are political rock stars! I absolutely love Stacey Abrams!

Dr. Jill Biden spoke and then introduced him. President Biden is amazing!

At the end, he introduced our Senators, who joined him and the Bidens on stage. He spoke of how Georgia voters elected the senators who gave the Democrats a majority!

I am so proud of our Georgia Democratic elected officials and Leader Stacey Abrams and all of the Democratic voters in Georgia!

I grew up in Norcross....also long ago. Anytime of national significance happens there, I am startled.

I grew up in Tennessee and now I live in Georgia!

Duluth’s grown a lot in the past decades. Gwinnett County is now very diverse!

I will stick to my acres in TN for now. As red as East TN is, we are staying.
