That one view where you could see its black eye looking right at them was just CRAZY!!!

It also brought back memories to me... I lived in Hawaii from age 6 to 10. Loved the accents

...Chumming is prohibited. But I think DLNR could make an exception for youtube video making purposes.

All the Hawaii you can get here! I posted some videos on Hawaiian pidgin here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/104738

That little girl was sassy! LOL

My mom used to nag my brother about talking pidgin. He only did it to annoy her. LOL

It's pretty infectious. People can turn it on and off depending on the situation. I slip into it sometimes when I'm excited...

and his best friend was Samoan, so he quickly learned it from him. Most of my friends were fellow Coast Guard brats, so I didn't really pick it up, but I heard it all the time when we were around town or on the beach, so when I hear someone speaking that way, it instantly brings me back to my island memories. It was a great place to be a kid

Here is my favorite school picture from Red Hill Elementary on Oahu... I loved my puka shells and my favorite muumuu

Hawaii is a great place for the keiki...there's still a real sense of community in most neighborhoods.

These guys are 6 miles off shore and worrying about the guys on West Side. Not your normal reaction...
