Iowa not receiving, or requesting, White House coronavirus reports
Iowa public health officials are no longer receiving reports about the state's COVID-19 outbreak from the White House coronavirus task force after the federal group moved to a by-request-only model of distribution, a state official said Monday.
CNN reported on Dec. 23 that the White House task force would only send the weekly reports if officials asked for them.
"We are not requesting the report at this time," Iowa Department of Public Health spokesperson Sarah Ekstrand said in an email Monday afternoon. She did not respond when asked why the state is no longer requesting them.
She suggested the Des Moines Register ask the White House officials for the report about the state.

There is no point in requesting useless propaganda.
