Sierra Club poll:7 0f 10 IA voters want Joni Ernst to support efforts to deal climate change effects

http://www.kmaland.com/news/iowa-voters-want-congressional-action-on-renewable-energy/article_152881d4-74df-11e4-a513-4f1b5ffce112.html

"Up to 73 percent of voters were more likely to support a candidate who wanted to increase the use of renewable energy, rather than a candidate pushing to increase traditional energy," she says.

Iowa is the nation's largest producer of ethanol, and one of the leading states utilizing wind power, with more than 30,000 jobs in the state's clean energy sector.

The poll also found almost seven in 10 voters want Iowa's Senator-elect Joni Ernst to support efforts to address the effects of climate change.

"Not surprisingly, that includes 89 percent of Democratic voters, but also 52 percent of Republican voters," says Williams. "It goes to show that in a state like Iowa, the value on renewable energy is quite high."

In the spirit of Thanksgiving I'll only say with a thankful tone in my voice "This proves Iowa wants the same things I do."

I guess they didn't read the fine print. Like the other states that voted for legal pot and minimum wage increase and yet they voted in someone who will fight those causes tooth and nail.

Apparently most iowa voters can not put two and two together. They are for fighting climate change yet they elect a woman who is rabidly tea party rw . She already said she wanted to drop farm subsidies and somehow she got elected anyway. If she is willing to cut subsidies for iowa farmers , i doubt she will side with environmentalists when it comes to climate chage.

And we can get some hard, pipe hitting liberal in there to take his place. And if Joni Cutyernutzoff thinks I'm going to kiss her ass she has another thing coming.

A climate science denier. Talk about low intellect. What kind of people elect reps who will do the opposite of what you supposedly want?

There is no way Joni the knife won by what? 8 1/2 percent? The polls showed this race to be a toss up, something doesn't pass the smell test. I am still not convinced she won legitimately, there had to be vote rigging and undercounting Braley votes.
Just driving around I saw 5 times as many Braley signs as Joni signs, this poll is further proof the election was rigged and her senate victory is illegitimate!

I wish more people would simply boycott the use of ethanol. Food for fuel is immoral.
