One of the questions was hard for me to hear, and was answered well, I thought:

Kellie Leasure of Cedar Falls has seen how the scope of the issues that Sanders’ discusses has grown over the years, but how his attitude toward people stays the same.

Growing up in Burlington, Vt., Leasure helped petition her mayor to fix the city's basketball courts. Sanders, who served as Burlington’s mayor from 1981 to 1989, listened to her then, and she believes he’ll listen again as she shared another struggle on Sunday.

Leasure told Sanders about a notice she received that her family's insurance rate is set to increase by 21 percent. The amount would represent more than their mortgage, but she needs the coverage to pay for expensive medicines to fight metastatic breast cancer.

...

Leasure said after the event she believes Sanders will remember her name and share her story to fight for changes to health care laws. She believes it because she’s seen him work to help people before, and because staff told her to stay in touch if she doesn’t make progress with her insurance company.

On a personal note, I told my son that the Senator's visit had touched on two of my worst nightmares: one, that his dad and I will work ourselves to the bone paying off his school debt (U of I is expensive!), or that the breast cancer I had that was diagnosed in 2010 as stage IIa will return as stage IV metastatic cancer. "I'll either die in harness or the cancer will get me" I told him. He's 21, he doesn't think either will happen. Unless this country becomes more progressive and espouses Senator Sanders' ideas, I think that's what there is to look forward to.
