Dubuque County Sheriff not seeking another term.

The Sheriff here in Dubuque County is retiring next year;

Dubuque County Sheriff Don Vrotsos announced today he will not seek a second term and will retire at the end of his current term on Dec. 31, 2016.

Upon his retirement, Vrotsos will be a 42-year veteran of law enforcement with 38 years with the Dubuque County Sheriff's Department, including six as sheriff.

Vrotsos said in a press release that he is supporting Chief Deputy Greg Egan to become Dubuque County's next sheriff. Egan is a 26-year veteran of the department.

Egan has served as chief deputy the past five years.

Hopefully that "pro-gun" idiot Demoy won't get any ideas about running again. Plus with him retiring in 2016 the higher turnout should help Egan.
