ADVISORY: Progress Iowa Corn Feed to feature Harkin, Chafee, Loebsack, Castro, Ben & Jerry, every Democratic candidate for Congress and U.S. Senate in Iowa
Des Moines, Iowa Senator Tom Harkin (Ret.), Congressman Dave Loebsack, Governor Lincoln Chafee, Congressman Joaquin Castro, and Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (of Ben & Jerrys) will be among the speakers at the Progress Iowa Corn Feed on Sunday, August 30 at Simon Estes Amphitheater in Des Moines, Iowa. Iowa Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, Iowa Senate President Pam Jochum, and House Democratic Leader Mark Smith will also speak at the Corn Feed.
Also speaking: Rob Hogg, Bob Krause, and Tom Fiegen, candidates for U.S. Senate; Jim Mowrer and Desmund Adams, candidates for Congress in Iowas 3rd congressional district; Monica Vernon, Pat Murphy, and Gary Kroeger, candidates for Congress in Iowas 1st congressional district; Kim Weaver, candidate for Congress in Iowas 4th congressional district.
The Progress Iowa Corn Feed will be open to pre-credentialed members of the media. Those interested in covering the event must sent an email requesting credentials to matt@progressiowa.org by Wednesday, August 26 at 12:00 PM. A confirmation email will be sent to those receiving credentials. A mult box will be available, and media credentials can be picked up at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 101 E Locust St, Des Moines, Iowa.
