My letter got published today;

My letter to the editor got published today. It was in response to a nice letter that I mentioned a few days ago

Running groups of people out of town will not bring Ms. Krapfl back, nor will it solve problems facing our city.

The idea that we have to eject others has led to terrible crimes in our own history.

Things like the Tulsa race riots of 1921 when whites destroyed a black community. Or the interment of Japanese-Americans during World War II because of their skin color.

Do we want to work to make Dubuque and the world a better place? Do we want to minimize the chances of a crime like this ever happening again? (Dubuque could be 101 percent white and violent crime will still happen in this town, so don't give me any horse manure about how if we got rid of all minorities all crime would magically disappear).
