Braindead thinks the Iowa faculty should "calm down."

Ugh.

DES MOINES — Gov. Terry Branstad advised faculty members at the University of Iowa Tuesday to “calm down” and give incoming President Bruce Harreld a chance to prove himself as the school’s 21st leader.

The Republican governor called it “outlandish” that dozens of UI faculty members representing the institution’s largest college recently called for the “immediate resignation and/or dismissal of the existing State of Iowa Board of Regents” for hiring Harreld as the new president.

“For them to advocate for me to do something illegal is inappropriate and they should know better,” Branstad told reporters in response to a faculty vote of no confidence in the university’s nine-member oversight board and a demand that he appoint new regents who will be “broadly representative” and uphold core values — a move he says he has no authority to do.

“The faculty needs to calm down and give the new president a chance. He’s not even on the campus yet,” the governor said.

So in other words Terry thinks people should be calm as he and his idiots dismantle public education here in Iowa.

The entire search for a new president for the University of Iowa was a sham from start to finish. Bruce Harreld needs to withdraw. He is unqualified to serve as the president of a major University. Harreld's resume is a sham and on the basis of that alone should have been cause for rejection. He has ZERO experience in administration of a university. Governor Branstad along with the Board of Regents have perpetrated a fraud on the people of Iowa, the faculty of the University of Iowa, and the 31,000 students who attend the university.

This is a scandal. From the secret meetings, phone calls, and e-mails to the unanimous vote to select him, every step of the way this selection was fixed.

It is a disgrace.

I was talking to some people from Minnesota over the weekend. They heard about it and think it was a sham too.

I guess he's getting his revenge for allowing idiots like Terry Branstad to graduate from the school.

What he is doing to the state right now should be a crime.
