GOP complaining about Rep. Abby Finkenauer's job change

The GOP and their buddies at the Dubuque Teaparty Herald are all bent out of shape because Rep. Abby Finkenauer took a job with Make It Work.

State Rep. Abby Finkenauer violated the Iowa House of Representatives Code of Ethics when she neglected to report a change of employment last year, the chamber's chief administrative officer said Wednesday.

Officials said it's unclear what, if any, punishment the Democrat from Dubuque could face.

Finkenauer, a first-term legislator, said she was unaware of the requirement that members amend their statements of economic interests within 30 days of changing employment.

"It was something I just thought you did once a year," Finkenauer said. "I actually didn't even realize it until today that we were supposed to do something in the interim if we changed jobs."

If this was a Republican they'd all be trying to bury this.

The double standard in our country is astounding.

Hell the state would probably say it was their fault for not explaining it clearly enough.

Saw her in a presentation last week and she seems to have the presence and command of a room that says 'this is someone on the way up.'

So in typical gutless republican faction they will do whatever they can to stop her using whatever crap they can twist.
