Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds bluntly tells Steve King to decide future amid racism allegations

https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/2018/11/13/iowa-gov-kim-reynolds-steve-king-campaign-house-election-democrats-iowa-politics-republican-scholten/1988933002/

{good ol' Kimmy - once she sleazed her way into being elected standing by King, now she can pretend to be holy}

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signaled Tuesday she's lost her patience with U.S. Rep. Steve King, who narrowly won a ninth term in the U.S. House last week despite a firestorm of criticism for aligning himself with far-right European politicians and repeatedly making remarks many have deemed racist.

{snip}

Reynolds said she hasn't talked with the Iowa congressman because she has been busy since the election. But, she added, “I think that Steve King needs to make a decision if he wants to represent the people and the values of the 4th District or do something else, and I think he needs to take a look at that.”

{snip}

Neither she nor her campaign responded to questions about her relationship with King in the final weeks of the campaign and appeared with him in the final days of the election.

“I think it’s a little too little and a little too late. She had an opportunity to say this when it mattered, and she chose not to," said Democrat Jeff Link, an adviser to Hubbell's campaign. "She didn’t want to offend Steve King’s voters; she wanted to do anything to get through Election Day.”

Following widespread outcries against King's racist comments with about 3 weeks to do in the campaign, Reynolds made a couple of stops with King in his district.
They were buddies right up to yesterday apparently when she appears to have milked all she could from the racist King.

ETA - The way she turned on her buddy and close ally, Steve King is almost Trumpian. Now she can be just like her hero and suggest King was just there to get coffee.

and with the help of Iowa's mostly worthless media no Iowans will remember a thing about King and Reynolds when the next election comes up.
Actually by then Reynolds will probably have fucked things up so badly that King will be a distant memory among the health care crisis and continuing budget fuck ups.
