As I grow older I like war less and less as a solution to a problem! For example right now it seems their are certain people in our government who want to go into Iran or Syria! perhaps if we gave no exceptions to those who has a family member in congress,the cabinet or any elected or appointed position but instead demanded their relatives be order to serve on the front lines similar to england! they might not be so many war hawks ! you have to give england credit both the queens son and grandsons have served england on the front lines in battle!

I thought the same thing, back when the Iraq War started !
If it was mandatory for the children of Congress to serve in the war zones, we most likely wouldn't have any wars.
