Dixon (?) not seeking re-election, Vieth (?), Williams (?) pull Select Board papers

(March 11, 2026) The Select Board will have two new members this May.

Incumbent Tom Dixon told The Inquirer and Mirror Wednesday he will not seek re-election once his first term on the board comes to a close. Incumbent Malcolm MacNab also announced earlier this year he will not run again.

Perennial candidate Clifford Williams, a Federal Aviation Administration employee at Nantucket Memorial Airport and former Finance Committee member who has run for Select Board 15 times, pulled papers this week.

Current FinCom chair Jill Vieth joined Williams and Amy Eldridge, long-time Sconset resident and manager of Holdgate’s Island Laundry, the Select Board race by pulling papers Thursday.
