Why is it that Minnesota cannot have good BBQ?

None of the BBQ places I've been to have tender meat. I don't understand it.
We have plenty of cows. They don't cook the meat low and slow for long enough time. Why is it that Texas had fantastic BBQ and restaurants in MN can't? The ribs I make in the oven are better than those I get out. Any thoughts?

I know there are others but all of them are way too far for me I think my closest one is about 200 miles ... I am in Oregon now, I grew up in Plymouth and eat at Daves every time I am there I think there might be one in Minnetonka..And pretty sure there is one on Laka st.

But I regularly drive 30 to 50 miles if I want a restaurant at all, it is that far to nearest town for me so 20 30 miles to eat at Daves would be a snap

But Famous Dave did open a new restaurant in SE Minneapolis called Jimmie's Old Southern Smokehouse BBQ (44th & France).

But I haven't eaten there yet (I admittedly am not a big BBQ person - maybe because I haven't had "good BBQ).
