Democrats edge ahead in number of voters registered in Douglas County
The Nebraska Democratic Party said Wednesday it has helped register more than 6,000 voters this year and has edged ahead of Republicans in Douglas County.
"For the first time in awhile, Douglas County, the main population center in the 2nd Congressional District, has more registered Democrats than Republicans," State Executive Director Hadley Richters said.
The latest registered voter count from the secretary of state's office shows 128,491 Democrats and 127,265 Republicans in Douglas County.
