In inaugural address, Sununu calls for business regulation moratorium, school choice

CONCORD — Gov. Chris Sununu called for a 90-day moratorium on any new business regulations, urged approval of the controversial Northern Pass hydroelectric project and said parents of school-age children should be able to send their children to the school of their choice "regardless of income."

In his inaugural address before a joint session of the House and Senate, Sununu also identified the opioid crisis as the biggest challenge now facing the state, called for immediate reform to the state’s child protective services and an overhaul of the state’s energy policy to "put everything on the table."

After a bitter election cycle, which Sununu characterized as "negative and ugly with a lot of partisan and personal attacks," the new governor called for unity and a bipartisan approach to solving the state’s problems.

"I am going to have my first meeting this afternoon," he said. "And I plan to bring in Democratic leadership as well as Republican leadership. It’s important. It’s not symbolic. It’s real. We are going to find out what we can accomplish, grab that low-hanging fruit, find out where we agree and where we differ and deal with the challenges we face head on."

taxpayer support of religious indoctrination and gutting public education "school choice.".And I know it's the term the article uses, and not your own choice of words, Towelie. But it's sort of like people styling themselves "pro-life."
