RUN FOR SOMETHING: Mansi Patel for Long Hill Township Committee

Born in New Jersey but raised in Florida, Mansi felt drawn back to the Garden State to attend Rutgers University. A lifelong learner, she is pursuing a Masters in Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University. Mansi is committed to keeping her knowledge current in this constantly changing world.

Mansi attributes her growth mindset to her parents who came to America in the 1980s. Like many immigrants, they overcame hardships through resourcefulness and determination. Her parents have since built a successful life and business in Florida. Mansi will display the same type of dedication and persistence when addressing challenges in this township.

Mansi moved with her husband, a native New Jerseyan, from Bergen County to Stirling in 2021. They chose to lay roots in Long Hill because they fell in love with its hometown charm. She believes that volunteerism strengthens communities, and she embodies this principle. For years, the town lacked a Municipal Democratic Committee. Mansi took the initiative to revive the committee. Under her leadership, the Democratic Party is thriving in Long Hill.

She also serves as the Chairperson of the Long Hill Recreation Advisory Committee, which oversees the planning of popular community events, such as the Halloween Parade, Stirling Lake Dances, and Spring Egg Hunt. Mansi belongs to the local PTO, and she is a class mom for her daughter’s pre-K3 class at the Gillette School.

Her little Long Hillian is the true inspiration for her running for office. She wants this town to remain the welcoming and friendly place that attracted her and her husband — first generation Americans — to settle here. She will do everything she can to make townspeople proud to call Long Hill home.
