Sentencing set for David Samson in 'chairman's flight' case
NEWARK, N.J. — A sentencing date has been set for a former mentor to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
David Samson admitted using his position as head of the agency that runs New York's airports to get personal favors from United Airlines.
Samson will be sentenced in Newark on Dec. 13. He originally was to be sentenced in October.
The former chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey pleaded guilty to a bribery charge last month.
