Working Families Party poll: Should party back Cuomo this year?

Michelle Breidenbach

Leaders in the Working Families Party are asking voters whether the party should back Gov. Andrew Cuomo or another, more progressive candidate on the party line in November.

A recent Siena Poll showed New Yorkers could warm up to a progressive challenger against Democrat Cuomo, who is seeking his second term.

The Working Families Party is expected to choose a candidate at its May 31 nominating convention in Albany.
