Mayor de Blasio to nominate Gov. Cuomo at state Democratic convention, sources say

Despite some tensions this year, Mayor de Blasio is set to nominate Gov. Cuomo Thursday at the state Democratic nominating convention on Long Island, sources said.

"Bill de Blasio and Andrew Cuomo are longtime friends and are very close," said one Democratic insider.

In addition to proving there are no hard feelings over their battles on prekindergarten funding and charter schools, the progressive mayor's presence could be helpful to a governor who has had some problems with the left wing of the party.
