Woolf has funding edge over Stefanik in northern NY congressional race

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Federal campaign finance records show Republican Elise Stefanik at a disadvantage against Democrat Aaron Woolf after a bruising primary fight in northern New York's 21st Congressional District.

A report covering the period from June 5 to June 30 shows she has about $152,000 in cash on hand compared to almost $760,000 for Woolf.

But Stefanik is expected to get support from the national party in the bid for the open seat and a barrage of mailings and advertising from the conservative super PAC American Crossroads attacking opponent Matt Doheny helped her win last month's primary.
