Disgraced pol Larry Seabrook to have his name scraped off Bronx trash cans

Two years after being convicted of federal corruption crimes, ex-City Councilman Larry Seabrook is losing perhaps his last remaining honorific - the 55 trash cans spread across his former Bronx district that still bear his name.

His successor, Councilman Andy King (D-Bronx), plans to strip the stickers with Seabrook’s name off cans in the northeast Bronx neighborhood as part of a community cleanup next month.

“We’ve got a number of complaints from constituents,” King said.

“People are just bothered because of what he’s gone through that his name is still out there,” he said. “Every time I walk down the street, someone’s asking me when we’re going to remove them.”
