Rallying Eric Garner supporters put pressure on DA to charge chokehold cop Daniel Pantaleo

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – In the wake of the medical examiner's determination that Eric Garner died from a chokehold, Garner supporters anxiously await the city's next step.

Marchers at a small Saturday rally in Tompkinsville were relieved by the medical examiner's results —they want Officer Daniel Pantaleo, who took Garner down with the banned maneuver, to be arrested. But many fear that the officer will elude jail time.

To continue pressuring the city, supporters marched from the scene of Eric Garner's death to the 120th Precinct, demanding that Pantaleo be charged with murder in order to bring justice to Garner.
