Court appearance for GOP Rep. Michael Grimm postponed until Aug. 20

BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- GOP Rep. Michael Grimm's scheduled appearance in Brooklyn federal court Friday has been postponed until later in the month.

A motion filed with the court Wednesday said the delay "will allow the parties to better inform the court of any pending issues that will be discussed at the conference."

The motion said that the adjournment was sought by Daniel Rashbaum, attorney for Grimm (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn). Prosecutors did not object to adjourning the case.
