Bethlehem Steel

I'm trying to find information about survivor benefits for family members of those who worked at Bethlehem Steel (1940s to 1970s), but am not having any luck.

I know there is a program for workers who had cancer or mesothelioma, but I understand from a relative that there may be programs (or class actions) for those who died from other causes (lung diseases or toxic neuropathy.)

I talked to the department of labor, but they only deal with cancer related payouts.

Anyone have any info or suggestions? I appreciate it.

Is the disease or injury related to residual exposure to radioactive beryllium?

DOE turned over a backlog of radiation-related cases to DOL, and DOL hired a consulting firm to create a plan to validate claims:

and this is the payout given by the Department of Labor for those with cancer, but I hadn't thought of contacting representatives in NY about additional information, so that may be a helpful avenue! Thanks!

and that is included in the consultant's table 3.1 of possible occupational illnesses related to a contaminated work site.

Best of luck!
