Rochester TV Station: " We're not going to pimp his (Cuomo's) book."

Funny... I thought that exactly what commercial tv was for these days.

Anyway... tough luck for Quid Pro. I guess he occasionally still runs into people w. integrity. It must be very confusing for him.

>>>ALBANY—Governor Andrew Cuomo launched a television tour on Wednesday to promote his book "All Things Possible," but the parameters issued by publisher HarperCollins has upset some members of the media.

Rochester TV station 13WHAM had its interview with Cuomo abruptly canceled after it refused to abide by the publisher's rules that the governor be asked only about the book.

HarperCollins said TV stations would have four minutes to ask Cuomo on-topic questions only.

Brian Houseman, the assignment manager at 13WHAM, said he set up an interview and was told by Natalie Olivo, an assistant publicist, that anchor Doug Emblidge could ask off topic questions as long as he also asked about the book.


"Cuomo's press people called and said, 'just so you know this is just going to be about the book,'" Houseman told Capital. "I told them I talked to the publisher and they said we can ask real questions. That was seven minutes before the interview was supposed to start."

Houseman said he spoke to Cuomo campaign spokesman Matt Wing.
