My Friend in NY Is Terminally Ill and needs to place Bubble & Squeaks.

Please forgive me if this post is not right for this Group.

My dear friend Sharon is on home hospice care right now and she has two seven year old cats, a boy and a girl, spayed & neutered, that she needs to try to place together. She lives in NY in the mountains by Cooperstown. She has a failing heart....Right now they go in and out but would prefer to find someone who would help them adapt to indoor all the time. They are very sweet. I would take them but I live in MN. and have four cats right now. And three dogs.
They have placed flyers around but no takers. This is very very hard since last Friday she had to place her 11 yr. old yellow lab. Uggh. So sad.
I already posted in Pets and in Lounge.
I feel that she will be passing soon.... I am so so so so damn sad.......just got off the phone with her and want to try to help her if I can. We are very close and I am having a hard enough time thinking of her leaving this world.....

kept eating her food. then we tried giving her canned food. then the last day she was just laying there and I knew something was terribly wrong. Took her to the vet and she had a mass in her stomach. THey said it was not going to be long. I opted to put her down as she was in pain. They couldn't even find a vein. They said her organs were shutting down. It was terrible. She is buried out next to our dog Jimmy who we buried about 3 years ago. he was 12 year old german shephard. but at least I was with them at the end. Letting them know we loved them.

is a good life. Rest assured, you gave your best. You are brave to make that decision also to let her go. I wait too long many times. Well if you have any ideas of a good home for these two striped bundles, LMK. Sharon took good care of them and they are up on shots, Vet checks, etc.....
If you think you could or would like to adopt them, I could see if Sharon could pay for transport to you. She is to send me pics but am concerned in her condition if she even can. Am going to call her again tomorrow or tonight.

She does not own a computer or a tv for that matter.

What I can tell you form just speaking with her is that when her cat died in Minneapolis, MN. her daughter knew of a litter born in a barn near Star Prairie, WI. She picked what she said looked to be the "two trouble makers". lol!

They are brother and sister. Tabby with extra markings. The biggest one is 13 lbs. That is Squeaks. He is named as such because he has no voice. Just a little "squeak" sound. Bubble is named as such because she purred soooo hard as a kitten that she blew bubbles.

My friend moved backed to NY over 15 yrs. ago, where she was born, to finish her family's genealogy, which she had just finished prior to going to the hospital in Sept. for a few days. Then decisions were made to allow her hospice care at home as opposed to being in a nursing home at this point since she would most likely not survive any surgery.

She has a rich English history and hence "Bubble & Squeak" is a British dish (food) also.

i surmise that they are more than 15 if she got them before she came back to NY. That is not a deterrent. I know it's hard to find homes for older animals. I will talk to my husband and see what he says. I looked on Google and Cooperstown is 4 hours away from here.

if I confused you. I will be able to send you pics or post them here in about three days. Am going to send out a notice on another site online also tomorrow. Am working like a crazy person devoting all of my time to helping them land in a loving stable kind home. Helping my friend get closure on this. So am a little flustered and it shows.
She brought the kitties home with her. Her cat lived in Minneapolis and then moved with her also. She died of old age. She went back to Minneapolis/WI for a visit and daughter helped her adopt Bubble and Squeaks.
Four hours is a clip isn't it? I used to drive that amount from northern MN. to Minneapolis to see my parents fairly frequently. Long drive. I know.

Bubble looks to be a little more on the grey brown side and Squeak appears to be with more brown in his tabby coloring.
