City Candidates To Join Sharpton For Commemorative March On Washington

Democratic candidates for mayor and comptroller are teaming up with the Reverend Al Sharpton in anticipation of an August 24 march in the nation's capital.

At Sharpton's weekly National Action Network meeting in Harlem, the candidates announced they would be marching in the "National Action To Realize The Dream March" in Washington, D.C. later this month.

The event comes 50 years after the historic March On Washington in 1963.

Sharpton said they will be marching in support of the Voting Rights Act and in opposition of Florida's Stand Your Ground law.
