They don't want to split the ballot in November with two different candidates.

But then again they did endorse Letitia James for Public Advocate
and Stringer for Comptroller.....??

history with the WFP but the chose him before Spitzer got in the race.
My guess is that they want De Blasio but they don't want to hurt the nominee of the democratic party this fall. The winner of the primary in the controller and public advocate races will win the general hands down.
